Waterfront Building Designed by Cass Gilbert Lands Tenants, Nursery School
184 Kent, the luxury residential rental that opened on Williamsburgâs waterfront one year ago, has recently secured a tenant for 8,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. The space was leased by The River School, a childcare and educational facility that will open at 184 Kent in 2012.
In October 2009, Brooklyn Arts Council, in partnership with JMH Development, put out an open call for proposals for art installations by Brooklyn artists to be installed at the newly converted luxury rental building 184 Kent Ave. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
LEAVING BEHIND A LOFT, BUT NOT A FRIENDSHIP AS advertising design students at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, Ron Castaldo and Damien Girardi found that they often crossed each other's paths.
Out-of-this-world rentals on the B'lyn waterfront
Put Williamsburg anywhere else in the United States, and it becomes one of the top neighborhoods in the city. Yes the old art scene and underground indie music crowd has been joined by graphic designers, techies and couples with kids, but the boutiques, bistros, bars and supermarkets keep coming. So do creative types looking for places to live.
184 Kent is a new luxury rental now leasing 340 spacious loft apartments on the Williamsburg waterfront. The property features amenities that surpass those found at any other rental in Brooklyn.
This former warehouse on Williamsburg's waterfront will let families soak up the splendour of their surroundings. "184 Kent features ample outdoor space including a fully landscaped, 19,000 square foot interior courtyard for the private use of residents," says Jason Halpern, managing partner at JMH Development.
